A big weekend

Filed under: Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 10:46

Well, as you have probably guessed by now, no, there are no podcasts this week.
Last week seemed to disappear down a rabbit hole, as we made final plans for my party on Saturday night, combined with me preparing for today’s e-Seminar.
I am hoping (stress the “hoping”) to get episode 100 of Sine Languge recorded this week.
As for BTP and SI… that’s anybody’s guess.
I’ll see what I can do.
Thanks again for all the suggestions for birthday presents, too!

Birthday presents?

Filed under: Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 13:30

OK peeps, need your thoughts.
What does a 40 year old guy want for his birthday?
NOT audio gear (’cause anything along that line I’d buy through my company).
Budget? Up to about AU$500 (US$400).
Don’t e-mail me.
Put your ideas in the comments below.
It might help other folks come up with ideas, too!
Thanks y’all!

This post is now closed to further comments. Thanks to all those who made suggestions!

The absence continues

Filed under: Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 14:13

Again, no Shutters Inc or Building The Pod this week.

And next week, there’ll be NO podcasts at all, as Cath, Max and I are off to Western Australia for 8 days.
One of my cousins is getting married next Sunday.
We’ll be back in Sydney Monday night.
Looking forward to getting over there and seeing my Dad (whom I haven’t seen in 2 years) and my Nan (whom I haven’t seen in 3 years).
Will be “off-the-web” for most of that time, I would imagine.
So, if you have questions or comments, by all means, send ’em through, but just understand that I may not get to answer them as quickly as I normally would!

I stuffed up

Filed under: Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 13:35

As a podcaster, as well as a podcast listener, one of my pet hates is when podcasters are inconsistent (or ignorant, or just plain lazy) when it comes to metadata (the information included in the ID3 tag of an mp3 file.
So, I have to offer my sincerest apologies to Shutters Inc listeners for stuffing up the ID3 tags in ep 114.
I only discovered this by accident yesterday, when I happened to look in my library and NOT see metadata for ep 114.
I thought “What’s going on here?”
And upon looking, I found that I had uploaded ep 114 with the ID3 tag of ep 113.
That was just an oversight on my part.
So, sorry guys.
I’ve re-uploaded ep 114 with the correct ID3 tag for anyone who would like to manually download it (for the “comletists” amongst you).

No BTP or SI

Sorry gang.
Despite having some time to myself this weekend, I still didn’t get around to recording Building the pod.
And although Shelton and I HAD planned to record Shutters Inc this week, technical difficulties AGAIN conspired against us.
