Shutters Inc – episode 273

This week,
Glynn is quitting Shutters Inc. You can blame (or thank) Brian Mundy for that.
Sydney’s The Digital Playground. Looks like no one in the industry has a printer bigger than A3.
The week in Glynn’s iPhone shoots, plus the LED Walk and Pixel Stick shoots,
his new Tamron 16-300mm lens,
the things you see at the footy,
iOS8 photo update,
Photokina highlights, including:
Samsung NX1,
Canon 7D II,
Canon SX60 (with its incredible 21-1365 zoom!),
Nikon D750,
Panasonic CM1,
Sony QX1,
Sony dog harness… no, we’re NOT kidding,
and RElonch…REdiculous?

Glynn is happy to see Canon had (at the time of recording) 59% of all views on dpreview’s top 10 with only 2 cameras.
Getting up close and personal with a comet (as long as 177 miles is “up close and personal” enough for ya,
we’ve got some creepy gif animations based on images from the Library of Congress,
Adam sent us a link to some images taken with the aid of the Lightblaster,
and although Glynn didn’t want to know about it, you might (if you’re in Sydney) be interested in Dragon Image’s garage sale.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
