    Hi Bruce/Glynn,
    On the topic of RAW image file size, I myself have noted a fairly significant difference among my images. I think the reason might be fairly straightforward.
    If I’m shooting a 24MP camera, the 24 million pixels represent the high-water mark for data capture on my sensor when I capture an image with a full dynamic range. Ever blow out the highlights? Underexpose shadows? In the more extreme cases, detail can’t be retrieved for either of these even when shot in RAW, simply because there is no data there to use.

    Does this sound crazy? Just curious. I’m not saying I know this to be the ultimate answer for this quandary, but I thought it was a salient point. Let me know what you think.
