Episode 542 – That time that Glynn was nice to me

This week, we look at the car images from Anthony Schmidt.

Paul sent us a link to the ocean art winners for 2022.

He also sent us an e-mail about how all images of Ayers Rock (Uluru) look the same…

Why are all the pictures of the big red rock all the same?
There is several KMs of fencing and no parking signs before this carpark. This is the only place you can get a shot of Ularu, with the sun setting over it.
This was taken in the Low season in the middle of hot summer, dont let the clouds fool you, it was still really hot, just sticky as well.
Another example of every single person getting exactly the same shot of the rock, and they look exactly the same.

Glynn found this post in the Stories From the Road Museum farcebook group, about an old mobile darkroom built inside a Dodge truck,
the NYC Cab Driver who photographed his passengers for 30 years,
the AI engine generating food photography on-the-cheap,
and another AI story, about images generated from the memories of Holocaust survivors… bringing back their GOOD memories.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
