Episode 550 – How discussions about photography SHOULD go

This week, Glynn shares an experience he had talking to another photographer,
and this rather odd blog post about a talented photographer who wants acknowledgement but doesn’t want to post images on the web, or some such.

Then there’s the winner of the 2023 National Photographic Portrait prize.
Bruce is not impressed, but Glynn has a different point of view.

Bruce has just placed an order for the Arsenal2, and will need to get comfortable with it before heading to Alaska!

Paul Sutton sent us a bunch of stories, including further proof that when going underwater, the camera is the cheap part of the equation,
the most expensive lens currently in production,
why manufacturers make specific lenses,
Lightning on Jupiter,
and the best astro photos of 2023.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
