Who misses out this week?

Filed under: Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 12:01

Unfortunately, both Building the Pod and Shutters Inc.
Again, my apologies.
I will do my best to get BTP done for next week.
And Shutters Inc fans, I can tell you that Shelton and I have spoken, and are aiming to get an episode recorded Tuesday or Wednesday night this coming week, so, fingers crossed, you guys will be in luck next week, too!
Of course having said that, I started rebuilding my 2 PC’s last night (Sunday), and at the moment, I don’t have a machine that’s in a record-ready state!
Looks like I’m going to be busy when I get home from work tonight.
Watch this space.

3 strikes…

Filed under: Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 21:18

What can I tell ya?
It’s just been a full-on week yet again, and I have not had a chance to record ANY of my podcasts.
Two things stood in my way this past week.
1. I was recording yet another title for in the evenings, and
2. A cousin of mine from Perth (Western Australia) whom I hadn’t seen for 2.5 years flew into town on business and stayed with us for 4 nights. It was great to see him again.
And podcasting came a very tragic 3rd in that race, I’m sorry!
Let’s put this in perspective, shall we?
You all know how much of a geek I am, right?
Well, get this…
Sitting behind me, on the floor of my studio/office, is a cardboard box.
In that cardboard box is sitting an Asus motherboard, an AMD Phenom quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, and an Asus Lightscribe DVD writer.
Those components are waiting to become my next PC upgrade.
You know how long they’ve been sitting in that box on my floor?
Two freakin’ weeks, people!
So, now you KNOW I’m not just yankin’ your chain about being busy.
If Bruce can’t find time to upgrade his PC, things must be outta control.
Believe me, I’m tryin’…

If it ain’t one, it’s the other

Unfortunately, both Sine Language and Shutters Inc missed out this week.
Sine Language was pretty much doomed from the start, but Shutters Inc WAS meant to happen.
Shelton and I were going to record Saturday morning, but he found out lat Friday night that his presence was required a lot earlier than he had realised at the wedding he was shooting on Saturday, so that spoiled that idea.
So, we re-scheduled for Sunday morning, but when we tried to record, his PC was giving him grief and refusing to belive that he actually HAD a soundcard!
Seems the Gods were against us this week.

Shutters Inc – episode 109

We’re back!
After a chat about my trip to the States (see the last 3 or 4 posts on if you haven’t already), Shelton talks about 5 Minute Photographer,
how Richard Annable is one of the best photographic assistants he’s ever worked with,
some interesting wedding stories,
5 Minute Photographer (deja vu!),
where YOU should be after you’ve “found the light and put them in it”,
and then some other website about photography…. I think it was called 5 Minute Photographer, or something like that.
