Birthday presents?

OK peeps, need your thoughts.
What does a 40 year old guy want for his birthday?
NOT audio gear (’cause anything along that line I’d buy through my company).
Budget? Up to about AU$500 (US$400).
Don’t e-mail me.
Put your ideas in the comments below.
It might help other folks come up with ideas, too!
Thanks y’all!

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.

Stuff is just stuff and as always we will get tired of whatever it is.

Use the cash for a trip or somesort of adventure that you will remember for a while.

How about going on a photo trip with Shelton? It would make a great podcast.

    Hint Hint Hint.

I can think of several… I am turning 40 very soon as well! Congrat’s first off. Hitting the big 4 decades is a good milestone I think.

    Ideas… hmmmm:

    1. A nice new lens for your camera (either prime or telephoto)

    2. A new laptop or PC

    3. A nice quiet dinner with your wife… dinner, dancing or a movie, and a romantic dessert (no kids)

    4. A gift certificate if all else fails.

    Happy Birthday!
