Shutters Inc – episode 231

This week, Bruce’s first attempt at light painting (not entirely successful), prompted Glynn to remind us of the work of Eric Curry,
Glynn has been prolific and blogged twice this week!
Bruce was impressed by the setting of Sean Parker’s Tolkien-inspired wedding,
(link #1, link #2),
Greg Anderson wrote to us to discuss HDR and a clever way to slowly build up keywords for all your old images in Lightroom,
Glynn has been trolling on the interwebz, starting a flame war with long time listener Dean Jones over film vs digital,
Bruce found this story about another photographer who decided to travel with a Nexus tablet/dongle combination rather than a laptop,
Glynn and Mike Hollman WERE going to run some workshops together in the U.S. later this year, but that’s had to be put on hold,
and while we’re speaking of Mike “Smaug” Hollman, congratulations on all those awards at the NZIPP Awards,
After much planning, Glynn is finally heading off to India in November, where he will get to witness the Diwali Festival,
we discuss L brackets, commonly used in panoramic photography, including Really Right Stuff,
Glynn will be speaking at PMA in Melbourne on the 14th and 15th of September,
and after a suggestion on the Facebook page, we’re having our first listener photography project. By Tuesday (if possible), we’d like to see your best self portrait posted on the Shutters Inc facebook page!

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
