Episode 435 – At least HALF a photography podcast

This week, Adobe gearing up for some more price gouging? They were “trialling” a CC page showing minimum pricing at US$19.99/mth… but apparently still offering it at US$9.99.

NatGeo appears to have run a photoshopped image of the Milky Way. You’d have thought a mag like National Geographic would have had eagle-eyed editors who would have been capable of spotting this in advance, wouldn’t you?

Steve Peters and Glynn both found the story about Canon’s new entry level DSLR, the SL3 lacks compatibility with 3rd party flashes.

But it turns out that the crafty folks at Godox have released some firmware for their flash units which circumvents Canon’s manoeuvre.

Glynn also came across the microfogger, which looks like a fogging lot of fun in a tiny package!

Also, apologies for the audio quality on my end. I don’t know what happened. Everything sounded fine as we were recording, but when I played it back, there’s this weird fluttering sound all the way through, and it only affected MY mic, but not Glynn’s skype call. And it wasn’t there last week, and none of my settings have changed in that time. Weird.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
