Episode 443 – You came here to Phlearn?

This week, rumours abound that Sigma is about to release 3 new FE lenses for the Sony mirrorless family.
This guy likes to visit famous landmarks around the world, and take pictures looking in the opposite direction to what everyone else is shooting.
Then, there’s the interesting/unusual landscape photography of Andrew S. Gray, which employs ICM (intentional camera movement).
Glynn also passes his critical eye over the staff portraits I shot for ABC Newcastle.

Adam shared a few stories, including one about how Icelanders have had enough of Instagrammers,
this image of a volcanic eruption shot from above,
this series of images about child labour in the U.S.A.,
the Photon light tent,
another story of image-theft, this time by a University in Texas,
and Canon takes to indiegogo to “market research” some new camera tech.

Glynn has contributed to an e-book on travel photography. If you’d like to check it out (it’s free!), grab it here.
He’s also a bit put out at this story of cultural-misappropriation.

And if that wasn’t enough, I also chat with Aaron Nace from Phlearn.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.
