Episode 422 – What’s it worth to ya?

This week, we’re wrapping things up for another year.
Glynn, having what can only be described as a “Senior moment”, praised this photo I took in Borneo in 2013… and just posted to Instagram this week. 🙂

One of the produce markets in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo, as seen through a cinder block. 2013.

Samsung is living by the “Fake it til you make it” ethos, using a photographer’s DSLR image to promote their phone’s “portrait mode”.

I found this list of 20 excellent double exposure photos: film and digital.

Photokina in 2019 is cancelled – the next one will be in 2020.

Lior is adding to his list of “photographers he hates” by looking at The Atlantic’s Photo blog.
He particularly liked this collection of images from India.

Adam sent us this interesting story from Sweden in the late 19th Century… The Disastrous North Pole Balloon Mission of 1897.

And after seeing the “race to the bottom” which is happening here, Glynn has decided to launch his own wedding photography business!

And that’s another year done!
Have a wonderful break, everybody! Stay safe, and we’ll catch ya again mid-January.

I have been a professional audio engineer since the mid 80's and am happy to do for free in my spare time what I get paid to do during the week. I created Shutters Inc in May 2005, and it is today (as best as I can tell) THE longest-running photography podcast in the world.

Thanks Bruce & Glynn for another interesting year of podcasts. I liked Glynn’s great effort in summarising the best parts from the podcasts. The two of you keep me laughing on my daily walks.
All the best for Christmas – hope it’s a relaxing one for you both and your listeners.
